Show Notes:
Before we can fully understand the Parable of the talents we have to understand why Jesus spoke in Parables in the first place. The following quote is found in Matthew 13:13 NLT "That is why I use these parables, For they look, but they don’t really see. They hear, but they don’t really listen or understand."
Jesus lets us know that his stories are far more in depth than what we see on the surface. They require a different level of seeing and understanding. Those who explore at surface level will miss the true meaning.
So, the Parable of the Talents must have a deeper meaning because it's a Parable...right?
God gives us various levels of skills, abilities, and resources both in our personal lives and in business. Some entrepreneurs may be born into wealthy families and have more opportunities by default. This shouldn't stop the person who had to claw their way up from the bottom.
Whoever you are, However you are here....don't bury your talents.
